About me
Meet Jet
Jet is my four-legged companion who may join us during in-person sessions. He has a gentle, friendly nature and can offer a comforting presence or a welcome moment of connection during therapy.
If you'd prefer a dog-free session, that's absolutely fine too.
I'm a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar with experience supporting children, young people, adults and families across diverse communities and settings.
Much of my work has involved supporting people who have experienced developmental and complex trauma, family violence and sexual assault. I also work with people navigating neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, stress, grief and relationship challenges.
My Approach
I believe that understanding ourselves begins with curiosity and compassion. Our experiences, relationships and environments shape how we think, feel and respond to the world, often in ways we may not fully recognise.
My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based and neuro-affirming. I draw on evidence-based psychological therapies alongside my training in Somatic Experiencing®, integrating body-based approaches that recognise the deep connection between our thoughts, emotions, physical experiences and nervous systems.
I'm particularly interested in exploring the patterns and responses we've developed throughout our lives, understanding how they may have once helped us navigate difficult experiences, and whether they continue to serve us today.
I see therapy as a collaborative process, guided by your individual experiences, strengths and goals. Together, we can explore new perspectives, strengthen emotional regulation and develop different ways of relating to yourself, others and the world around you.
Qualificantions
I believe meaningful therapeutic experiences aren't always confined to four walls. Nature and animals can offer different opportunities for exploration, reflection and connection.
Alongside telehealth, I offer opportunities to incorporate nature and horses into psychological sessions. These approaches invite us to explore our experiences in the present moment, noticing how we respond, connect, communicate and relate to the world around us.
Working alongside horses and within natural environments can provide opportunities to explore themes such as trust, boundaries, emotional regulation and relationships in ways that may feel different from traditional talk therapy.
These experiences are thoughtfully integrated into psychological practice, guided by your individual needs, preferences and therapeutic goals. There is no expectation to work with horses or outdoors; these are simply additional possibilities within our work together.
Session can be held via Telehealth anywhere in Australia.
